i hate slow dances.
i'm terrified about everyone leaving me stranded here next year.
i am still a child when it comes to build-a-bear and my bears still need pink hair bows.
i'm a big fan of the nights when everyone stays over and we all have lost our minds by 5am.
i am so close to being able to rap look at me now. so horribly close. look at me now, hoe.
homecoming was two days ago.
it was great, minus the selection of music, and the copious amounts of freshman.
they'll learn one day that a dance isn't as big of a deal as they intended it to be.
on the topic of slow dances, i hate them.
swaying in a circle while stepping side to side is not a form of dancing.
staring longingly into my dance partner's eyes is not on my to-do list.
keeping up conversation while glancing hurriedly around the room isn't as easy a task as it seems.
after homecoming consisted of katie, brock, mal, david, kalester, bethany, and myself.
there was hot tubbing, food consumption, and waves of laughter followed by giggle fits around 5:30 this morning when we all realized that we were crazy for thinking that this was a good idea. katie's filter was gone by that point and there was no telling what she was going to say. mal was so out of it that she was doing anything possible to get brock to scratch her head. he never did.
then we all passed out, and i kicked david in the face this morning.
all in a weekend.
todays adventure was much more sentimental.
katie, david, and myself decided that we needed something to remember eachother by next year, and what better than a build-a-bear.
each one has a heart from the other two with their initials on it. i named mine kadi, a mix of katie and david's name.
it's so sentimental, but we were all really excited about them. it's just something to help us get through the next transition we'll have to face.
oh well. growing up is hard to do.
but build-a-bear is forever.
then it was more christmas movies, naps, and then icecream.
so far, this weekend has been one of the best.
-with love.
lys.
